Random drunk and funny people

E' bello incontrare gente divertente :)

I know, i’ve been lazy lately with this blog. And i think it won’t change in the near future. I’m enjoying this trip, i’m having fun, i’ve met lots of intereting people, and although i have a lot of spare time and a lot of things to write, i just don’t have the will…just that :)

I’ll tell you about my last stop tho: Keswick, in the heart of Lake District.

The town is small, but nice and old fashioned, as most of the town in this part of England. But the whole area of Lake District is gorgeous. Beautiful mountains, not too high, nice walks, nice lakes, breathtaking panoramas. And stone circles, like this one they make the area a bit more particular :)

And if, when you stop a little while between the rocks, you meet a friendly english couple that offers you hospitality for your next destination, you feel happy. And if the evening you go out alone for a beer, and you find yourself surrounded by crazy but amusing people (see the picture) … well, that’s the perfect day ;)

English breakfast are good…but they’re starting to be heavy on my stomach, especially the bacon

SnowMan!

Remi's snowman

Remi's snowman

Let’s jump over new year’s eve, ’cause there’s nothing particular to tell, and go straight to Llandrindod Wells. I’ve been there for 4 days, one more than planned, because i couldn’t find/decide the next stop and ’cause i were snowed in. The next day the roads weren’t better, of course, but at least there was a marvellous bright sky! :)

The Welsh mountains are really gorgeous. They surely are nice also in summer, but during the winter, seeing all that white, with some green spots here and there, and being surrounded by silence, except for some bleating, is something wonderful. And you can also randomly meet some semi/wild horses like those two:

ma ciao cavallini!

ma ciao cavallini!

The only inconvenient is having to walk for 3 miles (more or less 5 km) to reach the village to buy some food supplies. Hoping not to slide and fall thanks to the ice buried and hidden by the snow. But you can have fun building snowmen along the path to amuse yourself :P

spero non piova troppo nei prossimi giorni!

spero non piova troppo nei prossimi giorni!

A quick update, since i’m hungry, and since i don’t have an internet connection at the b&b where i’m sleeping in these days

My shoes are broken, as you can see in the picture. I’ve had great walks on the snow, having close encounters of the third kind with some wild(?) horses (i needed to give them the way, otherwise they wouldn’t continue their travel). I’ve spent new year’s eve in the laziest way walking between the fireworks and drunken people sleeping with their t-shirts on the frozen sidewalk. I’ve learned a couple of new card games. Now i’m going to eat! Enjoy your meal!
